WASTED YOUTH play their first gig in 40 years at The Lexington, Islington, on Saturday 12th February. Due to public demand, a second gig was added to the same venue on Saturday 2nd April. Amazingly, both shows sold out within hours of going on sale, and since then, we have been inundated with requests for more shows and more tickets.
We are now pleased to announce that WASTED YOUTH will play the PowerHaus (formerly known as ‘Dingwalls’), in Camden, on Saturday 14th May. Ticket prices have been kept down to £16.50 (incl. booking fee) and are available from AXS.com (maybe a cool Xmas present for somebody!).
Although Nick Nicole (keyboards) initially agreed to play, he has now sadly withdrawn from the project, citing ongoing health issues. WASTED YOUTH are understandably disappointed but totally respect his decision. WASTED YOUTH would like to wish Nick a full and speedy recovery. A new keyboard player will be announced shortly.
Hans Persson (drums) has also withdrawn due to personal commitments, but we are very pleased, and very excited, to name Alan Temple (‘The Low Gods’) as our new drummer. Ray ‘Sonic’ Hanson (‘Thee Hypnotics’ on guitar) and TC (‘Miranda Sex Garden’ on bass) are happily still with Ken and Rocco!
WASTED YOUTH would like to thank everybody for their unwavering interest, lasting affection and continued dedication, and without all that, this wouldn’t have been possible.
