Broken Hands are proud to announce the release of ‘Four’ – a two-and-a half-minute tour de force of dirty riffs and high octane urgency – as the next single off of their acclaimed debut album Turbulence. ‘Four’ will be released 25th March following a 12-date tour across the UK and Ireland as special guests to iconic British rock band The Cult and ahead of a string of headline dates across the UK in April.

Produced by the award-winning Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, Killing Joke and Maccabees), the band’s debut album Turbulence is a truly ambitious and bold statement of intent. The album recalls the superfuzz melodic rush of Queens Of The Stone Age or perhaps The Verve at their early, wigged-out best. Title track ‘Turbulence’ offers a dark rough-and-tumble rumble of riffs while ‘Impact’ captures epic climes that other bands can only dream of. The blazing ‘Meteor’ hints at what Black Sabbath might have sounded like had they been produced by Joe Meek.

Turbulence has already spawned a number of radio hits including ‘Death Grip’, ‘Meteor’ and ‘Who Sent You’, all of which were made BBC Introducing Kent’s Single of the Week, during their respective release campaigns. ‘Meteor’ went on to win BBC 6Music’s Rebel playlist and remained on the station’s playlist for five weeks. Broken Hands count 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and XFM’s John Kennedy as champions of the band, plus have received strong support from BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart. The band have just recorded a BBC Session at the legendary Maida Vale Studios, which will be broadcast in the spring.

Broken Hands have supported the likes of The Rolling Stones and Black Sabbath, as well as playing various festivals, including BST in Hyde Park, Reading and Leeds, T In The Park and Sonisphere. They finished 2015 with an acclaimed performance at CMJ Festival in NYC and a hugely successful UK headline tour.

“Blending hints of Primal Scream with the alluring dirt of BRMC, it’s an oddly suave piece of modern rock’n’roll.” – Classic Rock Magazine
“Thumping and infectious, with a hint of darkness.” – NME
“’Turbulence’ is a debut of quite rare and vivid originality.” – Clash Music
“A many headed riffing beasts of a record.” – Louder Than War
“Ambitious 5-piece’s debut album is a pulverising concept album” – GQ
